Profile & experience

Dr. Koby Frances is a licensed clinical psychologist on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with over 15 years of experience in the practice, supervision and teaching of psychotherapy. Dr. Frances is experienced in helping adults, young professionals and young adults navigate a variety of different complex challenges.

Dr. Koby Frances is the previous Director of Clinical Training at the Counseling and Psychological Wellness Services at SUNY Old Westbury. He is also the previous Psychology Chairperson at Touro College South. He has lectured and presented nationally and continues to actively publish.    

Prior to opening his practice, Dr. Koby Frances completed an APA-approved, pre-doctoral internship at Manhattan Psychiatric Center focusing on chronic and long-standing issues of psychosis, psychopathy, personality disorders, self-harming behaviors, early trauma and severe family dysfunction. He has since helped individuals work through a variety of complex problems around sexuality and sexual identity, trauma, grief, emotional dysregulation, obsessive thinking, compulsive behavior, depression, personality disorders, family conflict, panic attacks, shyness and/or social anxiety ADHD, eating disorders, and recurring problems in dating, intimacy and relationships.
